Keep it simple truly works - August 20, 2018

It does give it a try. We had zone sports last Monday, got some good exercise, we played touch football and handball.  One of the members in our ward does the detailing for air force one. Didn't even know what detailing is.  A miracle I saw this week was we went out with a member and visited some less active members and 3 out of 4 were home and we were able to talk to those three and have good conversations.  These past couple of weeks have been super exciting, the sisters have two people getting baptized this week so they have been running around Lome crazy and we have helped them out quite a bit. So that has been really keeping us busy, but it is really good.  I also learned the importance of forgiveness because I have now met lots of people who won't forgive and there time becomes consumed with it and don't do anything with there but time but get angry, so forgiving is good. We made some Pecan pie, it was super good but also had a cu...

Wasps don't sting sill! August 13, 2018

They bite, and fun fact thy release a hormone so other wasps  know to bite you. I learned all of that on Saturday when at a service opportunity I got bit twice then about 10 minutes later far away from, the nest another one found me and bit me, it was pretty sweet. But they fed us lunch so that made it worth it. Apparently putting a penny on it helps so I walked around with three pennies taped on my right leg. Some other service we did was walking Dobermans for a lady who isn't able o walk them while they are untrained, they are 2 big dogs. Temple was amazing, not any more that I can say about that, pictures included. Another thing that was amazing, not quite like the temple, but a member made some really good waffles. Like a whole new world! I got to go on exchanges this week and it was a lot of fun there area is a bit bigger and we pounded all the way to the top! There is about 100 fires in California right now, and the one next door is making for some...

Temple Trip Tomorrow - August 6, 2018

So my day is short This week was just an average week, except my sister got married, so that's something I suppose.  We went out on visits with our Bishop and it turns out he can do anything, he was able to talk to all of the people we visit about something they love and do it with them. Like welding and playing the guitar. We have a board game group of Elders so that is what we do for our PDays. We had a really amazing zone conference this week, it was focused on improving our studies to power the rest of the day, and so I learned how to better study which is really nice considering that we have 2 hours a day for that, good to know how to best use that time.  Then we had a dinner where they force fed us ice cream and wouldn't let us leave until it was all gone, so that was pretty sweet.  In bike news I busted another spoke, I discovered the reason, I ride like a brick sometimes. Also weight. There was also two flats this week which was just peach...

Come on Sears - July 30, 2018

We went out with President Sears, the first councilor in the mission presidency, and he was super swesome. It was amazing experience, he has gotten down the asking inspired questions, it was amazing. He went up to people we had been meeting already and got to know them way better, and the spirit was  there and so that taught me. I think he did a really good job of showing how it was done, and gave some good questions to think about for eve nmy self personally which is really cool. Also, ward basketball is a sweet way to meet new people, as well as members who have been less active. Also it is a great way to exercise in the morning. The triple whammy. Last week we also went to an African market, it was really cool, unfortunatly I did not by anything because I wasn't sure how to use any of it. Besides the spam, I can use spam. Also in our Book of Mormon class we got to Jacob 5 and we had a friend there. So we had to draw it out on the chalkboard and it went pretty we...

Golf and Tie Die

Image
Last Monday we went and smacked some golf balls again, driving like a champ. We also went to a swap meet which was pretty fun.  We had interviews last week, that was great fun as always. We also had an Elder go to he mission home from our apartment so we were in a trio for a day and were covering two areas. Thankfully we had their car, but we were still running around all day. They are Spanish as well so we got to arte pt to listen in to a Spanish training for an hour and a half.  Also free slurpie day was fun. But we were able to have our lessons anyway and they all went super well. We were able to have a church tour which was really cool for the friend we brought along because he had never been inside a church building before. We also tiedyed again so results are on the way. Also there are little kittens running around our apartment complex all of the time because a cat just had a litter so that is fun. I got to go on exchanges with a former companio...
