Temple Trip Tomorrow - August 6, 2018

So my day is short

This week was just an average week, except my sister got married, so that's something I suppose. 

We went out on visits with our Bishop and it turns out he can do anything, he was able to talk to all of the people we visit about something they love and do it with them. Like welding and playing the guitar.

We have a board game group of Elders so that is what we do for our PDays.

We had a really amazing zone conference this week, it was focused on improving our studies to power the rest of the day, and so I learned how to better study which is really nice considering that we have 2 hours a day for that, good to know how to best use that time. 

Then we had a dinner where they force fed us ice cream and wouldn't let us leave until it was all gone, so that was pretty sweet. 

In bike news I busted another spoke, I discovered the reason, I ride like a brick sometimes. Also weight. There was also two flats this week which was just peachy, but at this point I am pretty much an expert when it comes to bike repair. 

In missionary work news, it is going great, both us and the sisters have people working towards solid dates at the end of this month and beginning of next month. The ward has gone about two years since someone has joined so hopefully that streak ends soon.

We had a couple of really good visits this week where we were able to get back into contact with people we haven't heard from in a while, and we were able to answer questions about what exactly we believe. We were able to talk to a lot of people on the streets as well this week, and for anyone who knows about or has been to San Bernardino that is a great time.  This week we had a long pday activity where we hiked up in the mountains. And that's a Transfer!

Leaving Space for Jesus I did it, I made it through a Transfer [ a six week period after which one or both missionaries in a pair are moved to a new location]  without my trainer acting on his impulse to strangle me, it can be done! We come from the Premortal life , ask your local Mormon about that one What is the difference between hope, belief, and faith? The Zone activity was a blast, we had hamburgers, unfortunately over the course of the week we became less thankful. Steak and hamburger, way too much. Too much. We went to visit Sister C an older lady in the ward, it turns out she was hilarious, we noticed she had a roommate to watch over her and help her, and so we decided to teach the Restoration and her roommate decided to listen in and she ended up asking questions, and she is now an investigator. She asked us what our opinion on visions are, why were the Apostles called away from their family if family is so important. And we were like those ...

All you can eat KFC 2/4/2019

Last Monday we heard rumors about a buffet, all you can eat KFC out in banning, so we went out and snooped around. IT IS TRUE! It was 10 bucks and they had it all out on buffet so it was a lot of fun, nomming on 10 pieces of chicken (it eventually started to taste like nothing but grease and fat, so we stopped). It was a good time, and I am good on KFC for a long time. I like Popeyes way better anyway. We had a really good week of getting in contact with people we haven't had contact with for quite a while, as well as people we were just trying to get in contact with. So it was really nice to sit down, chat with them, and see how they are doing. We were also able to have a family home evening with a family we are teaching and it was a lot of fun to do object lessons with them, and see the light go on so to speak as it helps them make the connection.
