We wiped down the Temple, its super clean now

We got to help clean the temple, it was sweet, we got on ladders and dusted things. One of the best service opportunities for missionaries. 

I also ate quail, it was good and all but there were tiny bones all over, made it more effort then it was worth. 

But we were having a lesson with a recent convert and she shared how much the church has helped her learn. She said she has grown so much more in less than a year in our faith, as compared to her upbringing as an adventist. And we were like "THE CHURCH IS TRUE!". My favorite part of my mission is still the change that the gospel brings to there lives, how it helps them improve.


We had a two hour lesson with an Investigator on date last week, and for all of the returned missionaries gasping in horror, the spirit was there the whole time so we weren't rambling on. Don't worry. 

We had zone conference it was awesome to see Elder W again. We also learned about how to teach, back to the basics, then we went and had the 2 hour lesson, so we clearly weren't listening too well. 

Elder F is okay but he ate it again, we were going down a dirt road, I was in front I hear oh Crud, and BOOF! I see a cloud of dust erupt from the hillside.

We had investigators at church, always a miracle and it was stake conference too, with Elder Cook of the seventy, so good stuff was said, lots about charity and ministering to others.

We had a couple of really good visits this week where we were able to get back into contact with people we haven't heard from in a while, and we were able to answer questions about what exactly we believe. We were able to talk to a lot of people on the streets as well this week, and for anyone who knows about or has been to San Bernardino that is a great time.  This week we had a long pday activity where we hiked up in the mountains. And that's a Transfer!

Leaving Space for Jesus I did it, I made it through a Transfer [ a six week period after which one or both missionaries in a pair are moved to a new location]  without my trainer acting on his impulse to strangle me, it can be done! We come from the Premortal life , ask your local Mormon about that one What is the difference between hope, belief, and faith? The Zone activity was a blast, we had hamburgers, unfortunately over the course of the week we became less thankful. Steak and hamburger, way too much. Too much. We went to visit Sister C an older lady in the ward, it turns out she was hilarious, we noticed she had a roommate to watch over her and help her, and so we decided to teach the Restoration and her roommate decided to listen in and she ended up asking questions, and she is now an investigator. All you can eat KFC 2/4/2019

Last Monday we heard rumors about a buffet, all you can eat KFC out in banning, so we went out and snooped around. IT IS TRUE! It was 10 bucks and they had it all out on buffet so it was a lot of fun, nomming on 10 pieces of chicken (it eventually started to taste like nothing but grease and fat, so we stopped). It was a good time, and I am good on KFC for a long time. I like Popeyes way better anyway. We had a really good week of getting in contact with people we haven't had contact with for quite a while, as well as people we were just trying to get in contact with. So it was really nice to sit down, chat with them, and see how they are doing. We were also able to have a family home evening with a family we are teaching and it was a lot of fun to do object lessons with them, and see the light go on so to speak as it helps them make the connection.
