The temple is always the highlight of a week 12/24/2018


We were able to go worship in the temple this week, which was fantastic, it is always super peaceful in there. We also saw quite a few members from the Prospect park ward and the Baseline ward, which have been previous areas for both me and my companion. It was also good to be back in Redlands again.

We also have been caroling quite a bit recently, it has been super fun to sing a christmas song, show people a light the world video, and then invite them to learn more, and ask who else would like a song sung to them. We have been able to sing for quite a few friends on one street because they enjoyed the singing. Probably because we are funny to watch, enthusiasm trumps skill all of the time. We also went caroling with the youth, which while there aren't that many, they are lots of fun.

The invitation Sunday, yesterday was alot of fun, we had a lot of member families we are working with show up, it was really good to see them make it out.

We also made a trip to Don's, because I busted a spoke, AGAIN.

We spent alot of time this week again, being out and about, but we were able to find a father and son who are interested in chatting with us. They are a really funny combo too.

Highlight in the food world, a while back we got someone's 5 lbs food storage of grape juice mix, so we mixed it with ice sugar and water and made grape slushies, they are super scary because they stain like crazy.

We had a couple of really good visits this week where we were able to get back into contact with people we haven't heard from in a while, and we were able to answer questions about what exactly we believe. We were able to talk to a lot of people on the streets as well this week, and for anyone who knows about or has been to San Bernardino that is a great time.  This week we had a long pday activity where we hiked up in the mountains. And that's a Transfer!

Leaving Space for Jesus I did it, I made it through a Transfer [ a six week period after which one or both missionaries in a pair are moved to a new location]  without my trainer acting on his impulse to strangle me, it can be done! We come from the Premortal life , ask your local Mormon about that one What is the difference between hope, belief, and faith? The Zone activity was a blast, we had hamburgers, unfortunately over the course of the week we became less thankful. Steak and hamburger, way too much. Too much. We went to visit Sister C an older lady in the ward, it turns out she was hilarious, we noticed she had a roommate to watch over her and help her, and so we decided to teach the Restoration and her roommate decided to listen in and she ended up asking questions, and she is now an investigator. All you can eat KFC 2/4/2019

Last Monday we heard rumors about a buffet, all you can eat KFC out in banning, so we went out and snooped around. IT IS TRUE! It was 10 bucks and they had it all out on buffet so it was a lot of fun, nomming on 10 pieces of chicken (it eventually started to taste like nothing but grease and fat, so we stopped). It was a good time, and I am good on KFC for a long time. I like Popeyes way better anyway. We had a really good week of getting in contact with people we haven't had contact with for quite a while, as well as people we were just trying to get in contact with. So it was really nice to sit down, chat with them, and see how they are doing. We were also able to have a family home evening with a family we are teaching and it was a lot of fun to do object lessons with them, and see the light go on so to speak as it helps them make the connection.
