6 more weeks with Elder T

Probably the most exciting thing that happened was we went on exchanges with the other Samoan companionship and so of course we ended up having a full conversation with someone in Spanish, he was from Texas and grew up around a lot of Spanish, so we were able to introduce ourselves and ask if it would be alright for missionaries that could speak Spanish better could come by so that was cool.

Saturday and Sunday were also super eventful, we started off by being invited to a buffet over in Redlands by our Bishop because is daughter went to the temple in preparation for leaving on her mission on Halloween. Since we had a lesson later that evening with him over in Highlands which is even further outside the zone, we were able to go. The Samoans don't like change and a less active member and a friend we are teaching live over in highland but don't want to go to the Samoan ward that usually covers that area. So we went to that lesson and the person we are teaching said that she was going to move to Oregon to get her and her husband away from our church, then the spirit specifically told her to stay and get baptized, and so that is what she is doing, which is super cool.

Then the Colton Ward had the Second counselor in the General Young Men's presidency come, the one who spoke at General conference last week, so it was cool to see him and listen to him again, he told about a story how he was wrangling cattle with his parents and how his mom got thrown off her horse into what one would expect in a cow field, he connected that to honoring our mothers so that was pretty good.

Then the friend we are teaching got interviewed and then had to be interviewed by the mission president who is super busy because we have transfers this week, and we got an extra 11 missionaries waiting to get there visas. But he was actually passing by from Fontana and so he was able to meet with them that day.


It is cool to see the small miracles that happen out here, have a great week!

We had a couple of really good visits this week where we were able to get back into contact with people we haven't heard from in a while, and we were able to answer questions about what exactly we believe. We were able to talk to a lot of people on the streets as well this week, and for anyone who knows about or has been to San Bernardino that is a great time.  This week we had a long pday activity where we hiked up in the mountains. And that's a Transfer!

Leaving Space for Jesus I did it, I made it through a Transfer [ a six week period after which one or both missionaries in a pair are moved to a new location]  without my trainer acting on his impulse to strangle me, it can be done! We come from the Premortal life , ask your local Mormon about that one What is the difference between hope, belief, and faith? The Zone activity was a blast, we had hamburgers, unfortunately over the course of the week we became less thankful. Steak and hamburger, way too much. Too much. We went to visit Sister C an older lady in the ward, it turns out she was hilarious, we noticed she had a roommate to watch over her and help her, and so we decided to teach the Restoration and her roommate decided to listen in and she ended up asking questions, and she is now an investigator. She asked us what our opinion on visions are, why were the Apostles called away from their family if family is so important. And we were like those ...

All you can eat KFC 2/4/2019

Last Monday we heard rumors about a buffet, all you can eat KFC out in banning, so we went out and snooped around. IT IS TRUE! It was 10 bucks and they had it all out on buffet so it was a lot of fun, nomming on 10 pieces of chicken (it eventually started to taste like nothing but grease and fat, so we stopped). It was a good time, and I am good on KFC for a long time. I like Popeyes way better anyway. We had a really good week of getting in contact with people we haven't had contact with for quite a while, as well as people we were just trying to get in contact with. So it was really nice to sit down, chat with them, and see how they are doing. We were also able to have a family home evening with a family we are teaching and it was a lot of fun to do object lessons with them, and see the light go on so to speak as it helps them make the connection.
