Elder Evan's Epistles

We got to help clean the temple, it was sweet, we got on ladders and dusted things. One of the best service opportunities for missionaries.  I also ate quail, it was good and all but there were tiny bones all over, made it more effort then it was worth.  But we were having a lesson with a recent convert and she shared how much the church has helped her learn. She said she has grown so much more in less than a year in our faith, as compared to her upbringing as an adventist. And we were like "THE CHURCH IS TRUE!". My favorite part of my mission is still the change that the gospel brings to there lives, how it helps them improve. We had a two hour lesson with an Investigator on date last week, and for all of the returned missionaries gasping in horror, the spirit was there the whole time so we weren't rambling on. This week was bothersome because there was a chance of rain every day pretty much, but it only ended up raining twice. Tender mercies of the Lord. I have learned that when biking the parts that get soaked are a straight line up your back, and the top of your thighs. But in other news there is an Investigator who is on date for Cinco de Mayo! That is the day I was baptized! Twins! Hopefully Aaron can make it. Also this week Elder F blew a big hole in his tire. It was pretty awesome, it took about 10 seconds to go completely flat. He had a cm long slash in his tire and his tube. We had to walk back to the house we had left about 10 seconds before and ask for a ride back to the apartment.  On Friday I got a sniff of MD air. Some one actually went to DC for a business trip and he offered to stop by my house! So I gave him some Redlands oranges, which are pretty legendary and he took them on over and brought back a Tupperware of homemade cookies! With MD air inside as we...
