Sword fighting Ward Mission Leader 4/15/2019



We went over to our ward mission leaders house for a meeting, and he demonstrated his homemade swords, that he had brought up during a lesson, it was a lot of fun. Then he invited a family we are teaching over for dinner, and invited us. He busted out the swords again, and we had a big brawl. 

That family we are teaching also showed up to church! And a returned missionary gave a really great talk, about patience and love. It really meant a lot to Alan as well. 

We had an opportunity to clean the temple, so that was a lot of fun, we cleaned the baptismal font, and dusted everything. A lot of dusting!

Evan and friend Elder R So on Sunday I woke up super early in the morning and i sat there for a long time trying to decide if it was me accidentally waking up or whether I had heard my companion talking (I was dreaming that we were doing companion study). The reason I didn't want to get out is because I am on the top bunk with no ladder so it takes some effort to get in and out of bed. Crayons, Chess, and fake cowboys

Yes he did, Luke 2:40, that one was a bit deep so, what does this quote mean? “Come as you are,” a loving Father says to each of us, but He adds, “Don’t plan to stay as you are.” Also hope all of you elders in Florida are safe. Nasty weather to be having.  So we got a savings thing [ coupons I think ] for labor day from the local store it had pictures of meat and it was like great on the grill but I was like those vegetables look so much better, I went up to Elder B and I was like you know what looks good on this page right now? And he was like the vegetables. Missions do weird things to you. Shopping is so much fun, we get to have new things to eat in the house. District meeting was great, we were having problems as a companionship with getting people to keep their commitments to come to church, so that was something he focused on. Missions are full of miracles

My favorite thing as a missionary is the miracle of people you are trying to get into contact with  replying to your text, or returning a call. And that happened this week, so put that in the record books. I met the bishop and he is awesome. He is a chemical engineer who is an inventor on the side. He made a coconut milk to biodiesel thing that is self sufficient and it is in Tonga. He also invented a nail polish remover that doesn't strip the nails. He named it after his daughter. Meanwhile we had a bit of an ant genocide, the elders left some trash when they left and we just found it. We followed the trail of ants, so one of the Elders in the apartment got the Windex and sprayed them down. We have won the war. We also did service for a man with a turtle named Toby. Everything else is irrelevant.  We had an excellent zone conference, I learned how to be a missionary, it was great! We learned how to receive revelation, as well as helping the investigators ...
