That awkward moment you fat thumb and send an unwritten email 6/24/2019

We had a couple of really good visits this week where we were able to get back into contact with people we haven't heard from in a while, and we were able to answer questions about what exactly we believe. We were able to talk to a lot of people on the streets as well this week, and for anyone who knows about or has been to San Bernardino that is a great time.  This week we had a long pday activity where we hiked up in the mountains. So this will be a short email, but there is proof I exist!  -Elder Bearman President Dixon  Is an amazing leader  leaves us on Thursday

Back to the beginning... 6/17/2019

This week we had a hectic one, it concluded with us learning that my companion from November 2017 is going to be my roomate! It will be fun to catch up with him.  We had a shortened pday, last week, but even still we had a good time, including discovering there was a full sized statue of a woman placed on the street by the laundromat. Sadly when we went by it again it was no longer there for pictures. Also, we had a Tuesday where we drove around the mission and moved stuff around from 1 to 9. They were closing down some apartments, it was a good time. We drove to Fontana, then to Beaumont, then back to Highland.  Then we were able to go to the temple, which is always a good experience, and we were able to meet with a guy we hadn't seen in a while. We also were able to take a couple we are teaching on a temple tour. They really enjoyed it and it is always nice to see the temple Elder Bearman We drove all over Temples are the place to be The weather...

This transfer is almost over 6/10/2019

Because this transfer is only 5 weeks we have 1 left! Time continues to fly by. We had quite a bit of work in the office this week, we drove to Fontana and Redlands in the truck and moved quite a bit of things around. Are goal is to make sure everyone has the correct stuff in their apartments before our mission gains three new stakes! We also met a new person this week named Joe. He is friends with a member and is interested and learning what exactly we believe, especially since he has lost his connection with God as of late.  This week we are also going to be able to attend the temple again, so that is going to be a highlight.  Lastly while the easy coast is apparently getting alot of rain, we are having a heat wave. It was almost 100 yesterday and will hit it today.  Have a great week!  -Elder Bearman We have mobbed the streets Driving around the mission Itʻs bunches of fun No pictures!

Whoops 6/4/2019

I think I totally forgot to send out a weekly last week. We have had a lot of bike troubles here, so we had to go to the bike shop three times over the past 2 weeks which has made things super exciting. This week we had the Dixon's last zone conference before they go home. Also Elder Larsen and Elder Fullmer gave their departing testimonies as well. We also learned about the restoration of Christ's church, as well as making our visits with people effective. We have had a really good week this week getting to know the members of the ward here. Since our companionship had only been in the ward for a couple months now, we are trying to get connected with the ward.  -Elder Bearman Bike troubles are nice weather has been fantastic ʻnother week in San B

I got to be the ring bearer! 5/13/2019

Some one we were teaching got married, and it was fantastic. It was a super small event, but it was still really amazing. I got to be the ring bearer, and my companion was the professional photographer.   Sadly I am getting transferred out of Wilson creek, but I will be able to come back from the baptism! It will be really good and quite a few missionaries will be coming back! I am heading off to Highland B to be with Elder Dehl, who is a champ!  We also had a neat experience where a member came up to us at church and told us of a person who wanted to learn more about the Book of Mormon, so we stopped by and she was really sincere and figuring out what it is all about, go Brother Sanders!  A lot of pictures this week, as well. We went fishing last pday up in the mountains and it was cold! But it was a really good time, I caught a real fish and the pictures were really good, so you get a lot of them! -Elder Bearman  I caught a bluegill ...

Last Minute 5/7/2019

Everyday was different Last Monday was different because we went to Redlands and played basketball and volleyball with the missionaries over there. Then Tuesday was interviews and my birthday! Big thanks to aunt Robin! She sent me some ice cream through the mail, most of it was delicious, the pear blue cheese a bit different. Also in interviews I learned that I probably will get transferred May 15th, which is sad because I love the Wilson Creek ward. Wednesday I got to go on exchanges with Elder Spackman, my companion in Colton. We had a good time, we went out and tried to talk to everyone and there dog so that was super fun. Thursday we had weekly planning Friday we had MLC, we were in highland all day, an d were able to talk about how the mission is doing! Saturday we had a baptism of an 8 year old we went and helped with then met with a bunch of part member families Sunday we had people show up to church we didn't even invite I ran out of t...

Also it will be my last, there goes any excuse I have of being a punk. But this week was crazy awesome. We went on exchanges twice, I got to go back to Redlands and had a really good time with Elder Shelton there. He came out with me, but we haven't served around each other, so it was nice to see how the mission has treated him so far. I also got to go out to Banning, which is a tiny town that is kinda the last place before you hit the desert. I was with a younger missionary, Elder Cox and so it was fun to be able to see him in action. He actually went to SVU for a year so he knows the east coast! Also they had a bread maker and so we had homemade bread for breakfast.  We were able to start meeting with a couple, we just wandered up to then while they were in their garage and we asked them what question would they ask God? And then we went off on an awesome discussion as to what our purpose in life is, why bad things have to happen, and how we can find truth. We answere...

Easter weekend full of excitement 4/22/2019

Image
We had a really good weekend, we helped 2 people move and did yardwork for another couple. And on Tuesday we weeded 2 peoples yard. We also had a lot of less actives come to church as well.  There was another day we were just biking down Yucaipa Blvd, amd were waiting at a light when someone pulled up on the opposite side of the intersection and waved us over, and it was a big poly dude and a smaller white dude. We were kind of nervous but it turns out the were members just asking if we can give a blessing to a relative.  We had a fun zone activity, we had an egg themed activity for Easter. My companion and I won the egg toss by quite a bit. He one the egg decorating contest, and our district won the relay race. So the Yucaipa district is basically the best.  That is it!  -Elder Bearman Zone Conference roleplay We pulled many weeds Tuesday Yucaipa is sweet  Lots of pictures!  An Elder came back for a convert going thro...

Sword fighting Ward Mission Leader 4/15/2019

Image
We went over to our ward mission leaders house for a meeting, and he demonstrated his homemade swords, that he had brought up during a lesson, it was a lot of fun. Then he invited a family we are teaching over for dinner, and invited us. He busted out the swords again, and we had a big brawl.  That family we are teaching also showed up to church! And a returned missionary gave a really great talk, about patience and love. It really meant a lot to Alan as well.  We had an opportunity to clean the temple, so that was a lot of fun, we cleaned the baptismal font, and dusted everything. A lot of dusting!  Hae a great week!  -Elder Bearman Buddy the Akita Yucaipa is fantastic Iʻm eating ice cream   A dog doing a sweet bear rug impression Me with Yucaipa in the background Elder Larsen and I with a member who gave us scarves, he rocks them
