My Tablet is working improperly 1/28/2019


So I am emailing from a different device, so I don't have the contacts, or pictures, or notes from the week!

We discovered the whole town of Yucaipa and Redlands is related. There is one family that they have three in my current ward, and one in prospect park, and some in 2 other wards. There is another family that is in every ward in Yucaipa. These two towns are interrelated like crazy.

 We went on exchanges, and I got to meet an exchange student from Brazil, and the Elder I was with actually served in Brazil for two transfers before transferring over here so he actually faile portugues. We also had some really awesome lessons, where we were able to answer questions about the Book of Mormon.

And finally I met an Apostle, Elder Christoffersen, it was an awesome experience. I have never been so excited to shake someone's hand and be talked at. Probably the biggest things that I took away from it is that as we go about, we should spread goodwill as we go, and how missionaries are an extension of the Prophet, so that was definitely a good drop in the bucket. Also how if we want to know God we need to serve him and spend time with him and receive inspiration. He definitely is inspired.

We had a couple of really good visits this week where we were able to get back into contact with people we haven't heard from in a while, and we were able to answer questions about what exactly we believe. We were able to talk to a lot of people on the streets as well this week, and for anyone who knows about or has been to San Bernardino that is a great time.  This week we had a long pday activity where we hiked up in the mountains. And that's a Transfer!

Leaving Space for Jesus I did it, I made it through a Transfer [ a six week period after which one or both missionaries in a pair are moved to a new location]  without my trainer acting on his impulse to strangle me, it can be done! We come from the Premortal life , ask your local Mormon about that one What is the difference between hope, belief, and faith? The Zone activity was a blast, we had hamburgers, unfortunately over the course of the week we became less thankful. Steak and hamburger, way too much. Too much. We went to visit Sister C an older lady in the ward, it turns out she was hilarious, we noticed she had a roommate to watch over her and help her, and so we decided to teach the Restoration and her roommate decided to listen in and she ended up asking questions, and she is now an investigator. All you can eat KFC 2/4/2019

Last Monday we heard rumors about a buffet, all you can eat KFC out in banning, so we went out and snooped around. IT IS TRUE! It was 10 bucks and they had it all out on buffet so it was a lot of fun, nomming on 10 pieces of chicken (it eventually started to taste like nothing but grease and fat, so we stopped). It was a good time, and I am good on KFC for a long time. I like Popeyes way better anyway. We had a really good week of getting in contact with people we haven't had contact with for quite a while, as well as people we were just trying to get in contact with. So it was really nice to sit down, chat with them, and see how they are doing. We were also able to have a family home evening with a family we are teaching and it was a lot of fun to do object lessons with them, and see the light go on so to speak as it helps them make the connection.
