Dance Party and Bear Food 11/19/2018


We had a relief society event that we went to, it was awesome. All of the relief society made crafts

and put it in display then the men all displayed their talent in dance and singing. It was probably the best dance I ever went to the Samoans never do anything halfway.

We went to a really sweet sandwich place as well, their theme is bears eating sandwiches, they have cream soda, as well as a flavor called Bear Blood which is really good, it's pomegranate, and all you can eat soft serve, so I put the vanilla in the cream soda and it was divine. 

We went out with a priest from the Colton 1st ward, and after our lesson the priest just kept dropping names of young men he knew but didn't see at church anymore, so we went and stopped by them so it was super cool to see him thinking of seeing how the people he knows are doing. 

We also went out on visits with our ward mission leader and we had every door we knock on open, so we got to meet quite a few members that we have not been able to meet. That was a miracle.

Also we met a miracle worker, he trained his chihuahua not to bark even when the door is knocked on. That chihuahua is 1 in a billion that is for sure, we get to go see it tomorrow.

We acted some scriptures out as well this week, nothing on the spectrum of Broadway, but there is a couple of families we are working with that have younger kids and so to help them understand the stories, we acted them out with them.

We had a couple of really good visits this week where we were able to get back into contact with people we haven't heard from in a while, and we were able to answer questions about what exactly we believe. We were able to talk to a lot of people on the streets as well this week, and for anyone who knows about or has been to San Bernardino that is a great time.  This week we had a long pday activity where we hiked up in the mountains. And that's a Transfer!

Leaving Space for Jesus I did it, I made it through a Transfer [ a six week period after which one or both missionaries in a pair are moved to a new location]  without my trainer acting on his impulse to strangle me, it can be done! We come from the Premortal life , ask your local Mormon about that one What is the difference between hope, belief, and faith? The Zone activity was a blast, we had hamburgers, unfortunately over the course of the week we became less thankful. Steak and hamburger, way too much. Too much. We went to visit Sister C an older lady in the ward, it turns out she was hilarious, we noticed she had a roommate to watch over her and help her, and so we decided to teach the Restoration and her roommate decided to listen in and she ended up asking questions, and she is now an investigator. All you can eat KFC 2/4/2019

Last Monday we heard rumors about a buffet, all you can eat KFC out in banning, so we went out and snooped around. IT IS TRUE! It was 10 bucks and they had it all out on buffet so it was a lot of fun, nomming on 10 pieces of chicken (it eventually started to taste like nothing but grease and fat, so we stopped). It was a good time, and I am good on KFC for a long time. I like Popeyes way better anyway. We had a really good week of getting in contact with people we haven't had contact with for quite a while, as well as people we were just trying to get in contact with. So it was really nice to sit down, chat with them, and see how they are doing. We were also able to have a family home evening with a family we are teaching and it was a lot of fun to do object lessons with them, and see the light go on so to speak as it helps them make the connection.
