Fontana with Elder R


Elder R is from F, Arkansas! My first non Utah companion! He is a cultured guy, he is a big fan of
musicals, especially Hamilton. He has a very similar personality, to me so that is good fun.

Fontana is way more condensed than Redlands, houses are crammed in everywhere, one place we cover Heritage, looks like an avacado split in half and laid open. And there is hundreds of houses stuffed in there.

Robin, the strawberries were way good, as was the cake 5 thumbs up. Thank you soooooo much. 

A member who helps out animal shelters, had baby possums and real cats when we went to say goodbye so that was interesting.

The bad news is that the apartment was a mess, so we had to spend some time cleaning up. Bummer, but now it looks nicer

Saturday we biked around for about 8 hours trying to get to know people, in the mid 90's. Good practice for the summer. 

We had some really good tacos from this little place where you ordered inside and they cooked it outside. The chorizo and pastor were really good.

We had two really good lessons this week with two awesome people, a young man invited his buddy to come to church, and he really appreciated it, as well as a someone who lives with a less active member. Good things to come

We had a couple of really good visits this week where we were able to get back into contact with people we haven't heard from in a while, and we were able to answer questions about what exactly we believe. We were able to talk to a lot of people on the streets as well this week, and for anyone who knows about or has been to San Bernardino that is a great time.  This week we had a long pday activity where we hiked up in the mountains. And that's a Transfer!

Leaving Space for Jesus I did it, I made it through a Transfer [ a six week period after which one or both missionaries in a pair are moved to a new location]  without my trainer acting on his impulse to strangle me, it can be done! We come from the Premortal life , ask your local Mormon about that one What is the difference between hope, belief, and faith? The Zone activity was a blast, we had hamburgers, unfortunately over the course of the week we became less thankful. Steak and hamburger, way too much. Too much. We went to visit Sister C an older lady in the ward, it turns out she was hilarious, we noticed she had a roommate to watch over her and help her, and so we decided to teach the Restoration and her roommate decided to listen in and she ended up asking questions, and she is now an investigator. All you can eat KFC 2/4/2019

Last Monday we heard rumors about a buffet, all you can eat KFC out in banning, so we went out and snooped around. IT IS TRUE! It was 10 bucks and they had it all out on buffet so it was a lot of fun, nomming on 10 pieces of chicken (it eventually started to taste like nothing but grease and fat, so we stopped). It was a good time, and I am good on KFC for a long time. I like Popeyes way better anyway. We had a really good week of getting in contact with people we haven't had contact with for quite a while, as well as people we were just trying to get in contact with. So it was really nice to sit down, chat with them, and see how they are doing. We were also able to have a family home evening with a family we are teaching and it was a lot of fun to do object lessons with them, and see the light go on so to speak as it helps them make the connection.
