Service is Cool

Image
Tuesday was fun because we hadn't done service in FOREVER so we called a member and set up some service with her, we helped her and asked for service refferals, from her and the members nearby, it didn't work to well, but it is an idea. The service we did do was a whole lot of fun. In other news one of our investigators has a stuffed donkey named Bartholomule. Bartholomule is Jewish. We went on exchanges and our dinner was clear up in the tippy top of our area so poor Elder S had to bike all the way to the top and around. It was awesome. Thursday was noteworthy because we had a second lesson in the same month with an investigator that previously we have seen once a month and we took the opportunity to invite her to be baptized, she said yes. You got to just go for it I guess. On Saturday it rained really hard, except for when we were out on bike which is a blessing. We had a great Sunday though D was able to make it out to church so at this point...

Someone bit it and it wasn't me

It was my companion. We were biking down a little hill in a neighborhood, and Elder F was looking at the phone for directions. He then put it away, and went to apply the brakes to stop for a house, and he definitely hit his left brake, so he got bucked over the handlebars. I am in front of him, so I hear all sorts of ruckus and look back to see him laying flat on his back, and reaching up to catch his bike which was falling on him. It made for a very exciting 5 minutes. He knocked his front wheel out of alignment, twisted his seat, and had the chain fall off both the front and his back gears. Last Monday was pretty sweet, we had a small BBQ and I had boar chops as well as venison burgers. You do all sorts of things while on a mission you would never expect. No one believed that I hadn't had boar before, and venison only once before. That's what I get for being a city boy. Our relief society president is super awesome, we have met twice at her house to talk about one...
