Elder F made it through a week with me!

Last monday was pretty tame, all that we really did was get Elder F’s bike situation situated.


We had a district meeting and there is 3 Elders in the district that came out with me, and we get to go on exchanges with two of them, Elder S and Elder B. It should be immense fun, I am looking forward to Friday. But we learned about how we can help investigtors actually learn from the scriptures. We need to not spoonfeed them the answers, we need to instead ask them questions so they can figure it out for themselves. The problem is that is a lot harder than spoonfeeding.

Valentines day we did service where we went to a senior citizen Valentines day party, and chatted with them. MIssionary work is not quite what I thought it was.

I have discovered what my favorite type of donut is. Someone was moving into the ward, and after we helped they had donuts, and these buttercream bars are just way good.

I have been reading through the epistles from Paul to the various peoples across the world, and I really liked his consistent invitation, to live a more Christlike life. I have found that when I focus on trying to be like that towards others, especially with companions, life gets a whole lot easier. Now the trick is to get the whole world following the admonition of Paul.

We also heard an interesting riddle, there are 3 guys sitting in a line. The back guy can see the two in front of him, and the middle one can see the guy in front of him. There are 5 hats three black, and two white. Each guy gets a hat without being able to see his hat. The goal is for the guy in front to be able to guess which color his hat is. And the only thing anyone can say is my hat is "whatever color" if they know what it is. So they all get a hat, and after a couple minutes of silence the guy in front knows what color his hat is and shouts it out. What color is his hat and how does he know?

We had a couple of really good visits this week where we were able to get back into contact with people we haven't heard from in a while, and we were able to answer questions about what exactly we believe. We were able to talk to a lot of people on the streets as well this week, and for anyone who knows about or has been to San Bernardino that is a great time.  This week we had a long pday activity where we hiked up in the mountains. And that's a Transfer!

Leaving Space for Jesus I did it, I made it through a Transfer [ a six week period after which one or both missionaries in a pair are moved to a new location]  without my trainer acting on his impulse to strangle me, it can be done! We come from the Premortal life , ask your local Mormon about that one What is the difference between hope, belief, and faith? The Zone activity was a blast, we had hamburgers, unfortunately over the course of the week we became less thankful. Steak and hamburger, way too much. Too much. We went to visit Sister C an older lady in the ward, it turns out she was hilarious, we noticed she had a roommate to watch over her and help her, and so we decided to teach the Restoration and her roommate decided to listen in and she ended up asking questions, and she is now an investigator. All you can eat KFC 2/4/2019

Last Monday we heard rumors about a buffet, all you can eat KFC out in banning, so we went out and snooped around. IT IS TRUE! It was 10 bucks and they had it all out on buffet so it was a lot of fun, nomming on 10 pieces of chicken (it eventually started to taste like nothing but grease and fat, so we stopped). It was a good time, and I am good on KFC for a long time. I like Popeyes way better anyway. We had a really good week of getting in contact with people we haven't had contact with for quite a while, as well as people we were just trying to get in contact with. So it was really nice to sit down, chat with them, and see how they are doing. We were also able to have a family home evening with a family we are teaching and it was a lot of fun to do object lessons with them, and see the light go on so to speak as it helps them make the connection.
