We Roasted HotDogs

Alma 34:32 says "For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the
day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors." Get prepared people!

What is the role of the Book of Mormon?

The zone has three LAX (Lacrosse) players and we ended up finding enough sticks we played 3 on 3 LAX which was a blast. And no one got injured which is also pretty great. 

Dinner that night was also alot of fun because we roasted hotdogs over a fire. You should do that with your local missionaries.

We had a great lesson with another person who is good friends with members. As we be a good example and invite others to learn more people are willing to see what we are alk about. This ward is great at that, and it is cool what happens because of it.

We learned how to do some serious landscaping on Wednesday, we messed around with sprinkler systems, we dug trenches, we leveled stuff off. I am pretty much now a pro, so when I get back and get my own house I am not even worried. Also the family we were helping were fun so the experience overall was pretty enjoyable. Do service it so much fun.


We also had a pretty awesome lesson where we learned that they had pretty much no Christian background which is a miracle in Redlands California. Everyone is religious. Downtown Redlands has 4 churchs on each corner of an intersection. But it is cool to be able to share the gospel with them because they are so interested in what in the world we believe.

Also while biking I ran into a rose bush. No serious injuries to report.

We were given some huge grapefruit by an investigator, it was pretty good. We also had some navel oranges which were 10/10. And at the ward Christmas party they had orange juice and strawberry lemonade where it was made the day before at a farm about a 30 minute drive away and that was all that was in it, no concentrate, never frozen. It isn't as sweet as store bought stuff but it was better because of it.

In district meeting we learned about faith! And how with faith we can do anything because we know that God has got out back. Just like in Mom's talk, faith is the best and faith leads us to do what is right.


We had dinner at an investigators house and they insisted on making Pazzelles with us. So we did that and took some to his neighbors. We are going to do some family history with them on Tuesday, if you want to do some family history talk to some Mormons.

We had an awesome lesson in gospel principles about salvation and how crazy it was that it rested on one person, thankfully that one person was perfect. Hurrah for Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas!

We had a couple of really good visits this week where we were able to get back into contact with people we haven't heard from in a while, and we were able to answer questions about what exactly we believe. We were able to talk to a lot of people on the streets as well this week, and for anyone who knows about or has been to San Bernardino that is a great time.  This week we had a long pday activity where we hiked up in the mountains. And that's a Transfer!

Leaving Space for Jesus I did it, I made it through a Transfer [ a six week period after which one or both missionaries in a pair are moved to a new location]  without my trainer acting on his impulse to strangle me, it can be done! We come from the Premortal life , ask your local Mormon about that one What is the difference between hope, belief, and faith? The Zone activity was a blast, we had hamburgers, unfortunately over the course of the week we became less thankful. Steak and hamburger, way too much. Too much. We went to visit Sister C an older lady in the ward, it turns out she was hilarious, we noticed she had a roommate to watch over her and help her, and so we decided to teach the Restoration and her roommate decided to listen in and she ended up asking questions, and she is now an investigator. All you can eat KFC 2/4/2019

Last Monday we heard rumors about a buffet, all you can eat KFC out in banning, so we went out and snooped around. IT IS TRUE! It was 10 bucks and they had it all out on buffet so it was a lot of fun, nomming on 10 pieces of chicken (it eventually started to taste like nothing but grease and fat, so we stopped). It was a good time, and I am good on KFC for a long time. I like Popeyes way better anyway. We had a really good week of getting in contact with people we haven't had contact with for quite a while, as well as people we were just trying to get in contact with. So it was really nice to sit down, chat with them, and see how they are doing. We were also able to have a family home evening with a family we are teaching and it was a lot of fun to do object lessons with them, and see the light go on so to speak as it helps them make the connection.
