Thanksgiving was great, but now it is time to #LIGHTTHEWORLD
Jesus Christ visits the Americas and teaches them quite a bit, see 3 Nephi 9 for more detail.
As
for my week, what fun! I bought a box of cereal, just to get the color
changing star wars spoon that came with it. And i got the one I wanted,
R2-D2. With that start, there was no way the week could go bad.
We stopped by a
members house and they have a snake so I held it, it was pretty fun, it
was like a rubber tube, that was alive. We are stopping by again for
dinner this week and they said they have tarantulas!
I am writing this at 6 in the morning so I can't think of a question, so what is my favorite color?
I
don't think i introduced Elder W my new companion. He is from
Provo Utah, he just graduated from high school, and loves sports,
especially golf. He has been in the area for one transfer. He also is
fairly tall. He has a pair of brothers, and his Dad works at BYU.
As
for Light the World, the church is putting out this sweet thing that
EVERYONE can do. It is basically doing 25 acts of service over the 25
days until Christmas. So you get to do what Christ did, instead of just
talk about it. Visit mormon.org for more information.

Also
while I was shopping, i saw the S Zuroff who is in hallmark [Evan's old area], and
so we chatted about how things are going back there, she was so awesome,
she helped us missionaries so much.
We
went through the commandments with a lady we are teaching, and she was
telling us why it was important to follow each one and we are so excited
for her, she plans on getting baptized this weekend! It is an
interesting thing those commandments, aka ways to succeed in life. Also
if it is easy then it isn't worth it. Follow the commandments, they are
good.

Tuesday
we found out that our designated ride for shopping and stuff, is also
now on bikes so we went bike shopping, and we got some pretty sweet
bikes, that fit us alot better, and work properly, life is a lot easier
now, especially now that my legs are catching up, the huge hills aren't
so bad, and also that is why I wanted the pants a size larger, I am
getting pretty beefy legs.
They
also had an electric bike at the bike shop, it was pretty sweet, it
didn't do all of the work but as you pedal, it assist you so you push a
little bit and and it gives it more oomph.
We
also learned about diligence, which is working hard no matter, it is
being consistently excited to be a missionary. I am still excited to be
out here, and teach and preach and work like missionaries do. It's fun
serving others which is why I am so excited for the Christmas
initiative.
Thanksgiving
was awesome, we were given permission to have a 2 hour dinner, and the
bride's had us, some family and some friends, it was nuts. They had so
much food. They also had like 8 pies, I had the pecan pie, which was
pretty good but nowhere near as good as Tausha's.
I
am thankful for my family, for the church family that supports the
missionaries any way they can, the atonement, the Book of Mormon, and
ice cream.
Biking is
going great, I am starting to get used to it and in fact when I went in a
car for exchanges I didn't like the car at all. Also we learned that we
would be singing on Sunday for a mansion open house, so we got to
practice for three days. We did pretty well at the event but it was such
a great time, especially when we hit them with "he sent his son" from
the children's handbook. That is a super spiritual song.
We
were practicing on Saturday morning and the Dixon's popped in and
complimented us, the Dixon's are the best, they are so positive and work
so hard. I compliment them all the time because they are just so great.
I also learned that someone I taught in Hallmark has decided to be
baptized this week and I am so glad. She is so awesome, she knew it was
true, she just was mulling over the fact that Joseph Smith was a prophet
and how the Book of Mormon doesn't replace the bible but helps it.
Sunday
I got my first ward mission leader of my mission only 2.5 transfers in
to my mission. And he is a beast, he is so excited for the Christmas
initiative, he had us over for dinner and he talked about what's up
with missionary work and how he can help.
I
am so thankful for the oppurtunity the mission gives me to grow and
help others grow, service is just so great, and that's what the church
is all about, helping others come closer to Christ. Have a wonderful
week
