The temple is always the highlight of a week 12/24/2018

We were able to go worship in the temple this week, which was fantastic, it is always super peaceful in there. We also saw quite a few members from the Prospect park ward and the Baseline ward, which have been previous areas for both me and my companion. It was also good to be back in Redlands again. We also have been caroling quite a bit recently, it has been super fun to sing a christmas song, show people a light the world video, and then invite them to learn more, and ask who else would like a song sung to them. We have been able to sing for quite a few friends on one street because they enjoyed the singing. Probably because we are funny to watch, enthusiasm trumps skill all of the time. We also went caroling with the youth, which while there aren't that many, they are lots of fun. Music, losing things, running into friends and relatives

Evan and friend Elder R So on Sunday I woke up super early in the morning and i sat there for a long time trying to decide if it was me accidentally waking up or whether I had heard my companion talking (I was dreaming that we were doing companion study). The reason I didn't want to get out is because I am on the top bunk with no ladder so it takes some effort to get in and out of bed. Then we had district meeting which was taught by a companionship, it was pretty meh, but someone made an excellent point and nd I was like WOOOOOOOAH! which actually occurs almost every day here I am always learning something new, and I love that. Also we were talking about the creation and one dude said he was thankful he was for how green Utah was and I was like, "NO BOI".  Anyway afterwards we had our branch meeting, he announced us noobs [ new arrivals for us old people ] which was two districts, and then who was leaving, I think there were three districts leav...

Frustration with medical care

I just wanted to say that I am kinda ticked that the capitols waited for me to go on a mission before winning the cup but, I would like to request some swag! Last Monday night Elder R and I crashed into each other, I am fine and the bikes are fine. Elder R hurt his wrist, so we iced and wrapped it, nothing to exciting, but after it didn't clear up by Friday, we went and spent 4 hours at urgent care trying to figure out insurance and paperwork, which was LOVELY. It turns out he fractured his wrist which made me really sad for many reasons, one of which being that he had to get transfered out. I will really miss him. So that threw off the rest of the week because we couldn't bike, so we were pounding the pavement, which was alot of fun. We were able to chat with even more people then when we bike around.  We were able to do a lot of planning and studies while we were inside though.
