Malo le soifua 9/10/2018

This week I started out with a hike up into the mountains to go see a waterfall. It was a heavily visited trail, as can be seen by the graffiti everywhere, so that was pretty cool. It was nice to see that there is running water in Southern California somewhere.  Then the car we get a ride, in to and from district meeting died, so another car had to go buy some jumper cables. Then that car wouldn't start the next morning and it was being used in transfers so we had fun getting that running at 8 in the morning in a parking lot.  We also pounded around town super hard and said goodbye to people so that was alot of miles and biking super hard, it was one last hurrah for being on bike.  In my new area, I learned that the Samoans pronounce there g, "ng" and it is kinda a back of the throat sound. It is super hard and I will definitely be spending the rest of my life trying to figure it out. But otherwise Samoan is great fun, I almost can say a prayer now, and...

A blast from the past

  Last week we went to Redlands to play pickle ball, and as we were playing a guy rolled up and asked if he could play with us. After a couple of seconds I realized I knew they guy, he was a less active member I had been talking with quite a bit when I was serving in Redlands, so it was really fun to catch up with him. We have a member who's daughter is getting married and they were testing out how long it would take to defrost the food, the food was REALLY GOOD, so never fear good family, I did end up with a wedding dinner after all. I discovered I have a dream car an '86 T top camaro, me and a roomate are going to by it and fix it up and paint it purple. Stay tuned. We also saw a flyer for a luchador fight, I wanted to go so bad.  We were able to have a Bible study with a random guy we met on the street, we read Matthew 5 which is a good read, amd he knew his bible pretty well, so it was fun to learn from him about it.
